Rawal, who has collaborated with all three superstars, highlighted their distinct approaches to acting and revealed his personal preferences.

Paresh Rawal’s Take on the Three Khans

In a conversation with The Lallantop, Rawal compared the acting styles of Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan:

ActorParesh Rawal’s Perspective
Aamir Khan“I like Aamir better. He doesn’t believe in gestures or mannerisms. His acting is subtle and rooted in realism.”
Salman Khan“Salman is full of charm and charisma. He’s a natural who relies on his screen presence.”
Shah Rukh Khan“Shah Rukh has incredible tenacity. His performance in Swades was exceptional—you forget he’s SRK the star.”

Rawal emphasized that all three actors excel in their unique ways, stating, “In acting, no one is superior or inferior. Everyone is different and good in their own space.”

Praise for Shah Rukh Khan’s Versatility

Rawal lauded Shah Rukh Khan’s ability to transform into diverse roles, citing his performance in Swades (2004) as a standout example. “No one could tell it was Shah Rukh Khan in Swades. He completely embodied the character,” he remarked.

On Working with Salman Khan: Charm Over Method

While Salman Khan’s acting is often debated, Rawal praised his effortless charisma. “Salman doesn’t need method acting. His persona and connect with the audience are unmatched,” he said. The duo shared the screen in the cult classic Andaz Apna Apna (1994), alongside Aamir Khan.

Bond with Akshay Kumar: Colleagues, Not Friends

Rawal, who has collaborated with Akshay Kumar in hits like Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Welcome, clarified their relationship: “In the film industry, we are colleagues, not friends. My closest friends are from theatre and school.” He also expressed respect for industry veterans like Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, and Johny Lever.

Upcoming Projects

Paresh Rawal is set to return with two highly anticipated films:

  1. Welcome to the Jungle: The third installment of the Welcome franchise, featuring an ensemble cast.
  2. Hera Pheri 3: Despite fan backlash over Akshay Kumar’s replacement with Kartik Aaryan (#NoAkshayNoHeraPheri trended online), Rawal remains a key part of the franchise.
